Alkhuzam & Co. seeks an Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records by recording daily transactions, reconciling bank statements, and updating ledgers.

  • Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, providing insights on variances, and recommending corrective actions as necessary.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, addressing audit findings, and implementing recommendations.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and management to support objectives and initiatives.

  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance in all financial activities.

  • Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Requirements:

  • Preferred female candidate.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software (Xero &/ Odoo) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication & interpersonal skills.

  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
